About the Event
Join us for our first Spades Tournament at GameStation! $30 entry per team. $6 Entry to spectate. Game is played with classic rules, please learn them prior to game play.
Rules: first team to 300 wins. High cards are big joker , little joker Ace of Spades and so on. The Jokers will be identified by The game's ref. Big joker does not pull your opponent's highest spade. If you under bid, You will receive one sandbag for each book more than what you bid. Once your team has acquired 10 bags, your team will go back 100 points.
Reneging is a big no-no. If you suspect an opponent has reneged, Gain the attention of the ref explain your suspicion and point out the book that you suspect your opponent of reneging.
If your opponent has indeed reneged, your opponents will lose three books. If your opponent did not renege your team will lose 50 points.
If any team is set three times within the game they are automatic losers. If there is a 300 point deficit at any point during the game prior to any team reaching 300 points, the game is over.
Obviously, there's no talking across the board. Absolutely and no talking across the board while a hand is in progress. Anyone who talks across the board while the hand is in progress, their team will go back 30 points.
If you suspect an opponent is talking across the board deliberately to cheat, bring it to the ref. The refer will determine the next steps.
If there's an issue not covered here, bring all concerns to the ref prior to beginning the hand. Once the hand is in progress your concerns cannot be dressed.
The winning team will receive a prize of 60% of entry fees. If any team is hostile or disrespectful to their opponent the refs, or staff, those teams will be dismissed.
Even if it's just one person on the team both team members will be dismissed.
GameStation is a family oriented business and we would like to remain as such.
